I have always believed that the primary focus in education should be students – and I have always believed that we should involve students in each of our conferences. Again this year, we are making students a most important part of our conference. Our desire is that each student will take home an incredible network of talents and information from the other students, teachers, principals, superintendents, technology experts, and other leading citizens.
Together we will support a team that will have the passion and capacity to develop great leaders and foster peace throughout the world.

How do you change the world? Simple… bring the young minds of our future leaders together to communicate, teach, learn, and create understanding.
The World Student Project began last December (2008) in Myrtle Beach, SC, with nine students and was led by Ms. Britt Pool, teacher at White Knoll High School (Lexington, South Carolina), a Blue Ribbon Lighthouse School. This project is the vision of Blue Ribbon Schools, Inc., with the mission to bring together students from around the world for sharing and appreciating the cultures from different countries – leading to a more peaceful world.
This year, at the Blueprint for Excellence Conference, Ms. Christine Voigt, technology teacher, and her class at Bishop Dunne School will direct and lead a group of (1) students at Walt Disney World, (2) students from schools in the United States and (3) students from schools around the World. The students will communicate via technology and networks such as Ning, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
Remember, “it’s a small world, after all”!!
