Crockett Elem. School Marimba & Orchestra # 1

Crockett's Marimba and Orchestra Ensemble is renowned for its talent. On the one year anniversary of 9/11, it provided the background music for President Bush's memorial service, which was televised nationally. The students have always had the opportunity of having been mentored by several talented musicians in the community including Houston Symphony's well-known artists. The school's strong belief is that music can enhance the learning process across the curriculum and this is proven by the school having been recently rated EXEMPLARY - the highest possible accountability rating awarded by the Texas Education Agency.
